2. Zero-Knowledge Philosophy

Clarke operates on a zero-knowledge encryption model.

This means:

• We cannot access or decrypt your files.

• We never store your encryption keys.

• We do not track or analyse the contents of your encrypted data.

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your encryption keys and recovery methods.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data, only as necessary to operate Clarke and deliver our services:

a. Account Information

• Email address (for registration and login)

• Password (hashed and salted)

• Subscription details (plan, status, billing cycle)

b. Device & Platform Data

• Device ID, OS version, and app version

• IP address (for security auditing only)

• Login timestamps

c. Payment Information

Handled by secure third-party processors (e.g., Stripe, Apple, Google Pay).

We do not store credit card details on our servers.

d. Optional Analytics (Opt-In)

If you opt in, we may collect:

• Usage metrics (e.g., which features you use most)

• Crash reports (to improve app stability)

• Sensitive user data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

• We use AES-256 encryption, Post-Quantum protocols, and Zero-Knowledge Proofs for maximum security.

Clarke never stores or retains:

• User encryption keys

• File contents

• Backup data unless explicitly uploaded to our cloud with consent

7. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your subscription is active.

• Upon deletion of your account, all user data (except mandatory billing records) is permanently erased within 30 days.

8. International Transfers

Data may be stored or processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. We comply with applicable laws regarding international data transfers, including GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses when required.
